The Workplace Campaign
Tired of the same old workplace campaign? LIVE UNITED provides countless opportunities to try new approaches. Here are our four great ideas for 2011.
Build Your List
One of the easiest and most important things you can do during the workplace campaign is build your email list. Make sure you ask for home email addresses at every opportunity– whether it’s on the pledge form, in thank-you letters, or at special events. Also, make sure you have a sign-up area on your website.
If you don’t already have one, the launch of LIVE UNITED provides a great opportunity to start a United Way Loyal Contributor Program. We’ve created a new poster and e-newsletter template to get you started. We’ve also included information about the program in the brochure and pledge form templates.
Incorporate Advocacy & Volunteering
There’s no question that the workplace campaign is an ideal moment to engage people in the giving part of LIVE UNITED. It’s also an opportunity to invite them to volunteer and advocate on a year-round basis.
Ask, Thank, Inform
Remember that the best ask is a personal ask; the same is true for thanking and informing. Since personal contact with every donor isn’t possible, remember that electronic tools can be a big help. When you can’t connect face-to-face, be sure to take advantage of our interactive tools, like Flash movies, brochures, posters, etc.
